How does your team look like as an AZ Accountant at DESOTEC?

We can reassure you: no cliché 'grey mice' accountants to be found in our dynamic 15-member Finance team, quite the contrary! The high level of seniority within the team proves that Desotec is a great place to work and that the Finance team is a great team to be part of.

As an AZ Accountant at DESOTEC, you will have the following tasks and responsibilities:

  • You work with modern tools and are responsible for the complete accounting process (yes, from A-Z 😉 ) in Navision (➝ Microsoft Dynamics will be implemented).

  • You are responsible for the monthly closing of several of our entities and are open to take on additional entities if necessary and if possible.

  • You support the team with the consolidation of your entities and are responsible for intercompany invoicing (to different companies of the Desotec group).

  • For the foreign entities, you cooperate with local service providers for the local tax compliance and the related deadlines around corporate income tax, VAT, etc.

  • You are responsible for verifying and monitoring the annual accounts for 'your' entities.

  • You have regular contact with colleagues from various departments, as well as customers and suppliers.

Who are you as an AZ Accountant?

  • You have a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Economics.

  • You have at least 3 years of relevant work experience, ideally in an international context. Do you have a lot more experience? Definitely apply as well. Given our strong growth, we also have plenty opportunities and challenges for more experienced profiles!

  • You ideally live in the region of Rumbeke, Belgium, although you could work remotely 2 days a week once you've completed the onboarding/training trajectory (multiple months).

  • You have strong administrative skills, like to dot the i's and have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office. Do you already have experience with Navision and/or Microsoft Dynamics? Even better!

  • You function both independently and in a team and can easily integrate into an existing team.

  • You work in a thorough and structured manner, are eager to learn and driven, and you also have a high sense of responsibility.

  • You have good communication skills and can express yourself fluently in English (oral and written). Knowledge of other languages is not required, but is considered a bonus.

  • You provide ad hoc support for the optimization of various administrative and financial processes.

  • You report to the Accounting Manager for Europe.
